Hiring For:

  • Assistant Vice President
  • General Manager

Salary Range: 15 lacs to 18 lacs

Role Summary: The incumbent will be responsible for driving new business acquisition in Group Health Insurance (GMC/GPA/GTL) and ensuring effective retention of existing corporate clients. The role requires strong client relationship management, consultative selling capability, and coordination with underwriting, operations, and claims teams to deliver seamless service experience.

Key Responsibilities:

New Business Acquisition (Sales):

  • Identify and acquire new corporate clients for Group Medical Cover (GMC), Group Personal Accident (GPA), and Group Term Life (GTL).
  • Generate leads through direct sourcing, referrals, networking, and channel partnerships.
  • Conduct client meetings with HR, Finance, and decision-makers to understand employee benefit requirements.
  • Prepare competitive quotes in coordination with insurers and underwriting teams.
  • Present proposals, negotiate terms, and close deals.
  • Achieve monthly/quarterly revenue and premium targets.

Client Retention & Relationship Management:

  • Manage a portfolio of existing corporate accounts.
  • Ensure timely policy renewals with improved terms and competitive pricing.
  • Conduct renewal discussions and benefit reviews with clients.
  • Address service escalations related to claims, endorsements, or policy servicing.
  • Maintain high client satisfaction and retention ratio.

Policy Administration & Coordination:

  • Coordinate with operations team for policy issuance, endorsements (additions/deletions), and documentation.
  • Liaise with insurers for underwriting approvals and claims settlement.
  • Monitor loss ratios and renewal performance.
  • Provide periodic MIS and renewal tracker updates.

Market & Product Knowledge:

  • Stay updated on IRDAI regulations, insurer products, pricing trends, and competitor offerings.
  • Suggest benefit enhancements and cost-optimization strategies to clients.
  • Support cross-selling opportunities such as wellness programs or top-up covers.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • New premium generated (GWP).
  • Retention ratio (%).
  • Revenue target achievement.
  • Cross-sell ratio.
  • Client satisfaction and turnaround time for renewals.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Graduate / MBA preferred.
  • 28 years of experience in Corporate Insurance / EB Sales / Group Health Insurance.
  • Experience in insurance broking or insurance company EB vertical preferred.
  • Strong understanding of GMC/GPA/GTL products.

Required Skills:

  • Strong negotiation and consultative selling skills.
  • Relationship management capability.
  • Analytical understanding of loss ratios and renewal pricing.
  • Good communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple corporate accounts.
