Role: AVP - Analytics (Fintech)
Location: Bangalore | Travel to USA
Key Responsibilities:
Client & Domain Context:
- Work directly with senior stakeholders at US banks, card issuers, fintechs, and lenders.
- Understand product and portfolio economics (acquisition, usage, risk, collections, CLTV) and shape an analytics roadmap aligned to business priorities.
Problem to Solution:
- Translate business questions (e.g., acquisition, activation, cross-sell, risk, churn, collections) into analytical approaches and data workflows.
- Build decision-ready outputs that clearly communicate business and P&L impact, not just metrics.
Delivery & Data Engineering:
- Own end-to-end delivery of analytics and data engineering projects (marketing, risk, portfolio, product), ensuring quality and timeliness.
- Guide ETL/ELT design, data modeling, and query optimization in a financial-services context.
Process & Stakeholder Management:
- Put in place delivery processes to drive consistency, reuse, and offshore effectiveness.
- Manage expectations, flag risks early, and maintain strong, trust-based client relationships.
Required Skills & Experience
- 8+ years in analytics, with 3+ years leading teams.
- Masters degree and/or MBA preferred
- Strong experience in US banking, financial services, or fintech
- Strong skills in SQL (Advanced), Tableau, and Excel
- Applied statistics and decision science (hypothesis testing, attribution, MMM, predictive models) with clear business application (targeting, segmentation, credit/risk, lifecycle, marketing effectiveness).
- Excellent communication, consulting, and stakeholder management skills.
- High integrity, ownership, and ability to operate independently with senior US stakeholders.
