Role Objective - Own the stability, performance, and operational support of Linux and AIX platforms supporting mission-critical banking applications.

Key Responsibilities

• SME for Linux (RHEL) and IBM AIX platforms
• L2/L3 production support
• OS installs, patching, upgrades
• Performance tuning and capacity planning
• AIX PowerVM / LPAR support
• Automation via shell scripting
• Change, Incident, Problem Management support
• Audit and compliance adherence
• On-call rotation participation

Required Skills (Hard Requirements)

• Linux (RHEL) Administration
• IBM AIX Administration
• Filesystems, process, and kernel knowledge
• Shell scripting (bash/ksh)
• Enterprise production environment experience

Nice to Have

• Financial Services Experience
• Ansible or automation frameworks
• Monitoring tools exposure, Ex Opsramp, Top, Nmon

Explicit Non‑Goals

• ❌ Not a pure EUC admin role

Leveling

• Individual Contributor (AVP level)
• Acts as senior escalation point for Linux/AIX issues
• Mentors junior engineers and supports knowledge transfer
• Focused on platform stability, risk reduction, and operational excellence

Educational Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering or a Degree in Computer Science is required.
