Objective
Act as the primary HR partner for assigned business units, ensuring a balanced focus on people experience, performance, manpower stability, and adherence to company policies, regulatory norms, and audit requirements. The role supports both day-to-day employee matters and long-term org health.
Key Responsibilities
People Partnering & Business Support
- Work closely with business leaders to understand workforce priorities and translate them into actionable HR plans.
- Drive manpower availability, onboarding quality, and early-life engagement for new hires.
- Handle employee queries, escalations, and routine employee-life cycle matters with speed and accuracy.
Performance, Productivity & Engagement
- Monitor attendance discipline, behavioral issues, and productivity red flags; partner with managers to address them early.
- Coordinate performance review cycles, goal-setting, and feedback discussions.
- Run pulse checks, skip-levels, and ground connects to identify team issues proactively.
Employee Care & Culture
- Ensure fair handling of employee concerns, conflict resolution, and workplace behavior matters.
- Support health, wellbeing, recognition, and retention initiatives for the assigned teams.
Compliance, Policy & Governance
- Ensure adherence to HR policies, labor laws, statutory requirements (PF/ESI/LWF/Gratuity), and internal audit expectations.
- Partner with Compliance, Legal, and Risk teams to close audit observations and strengthen controls.
- Maintain documentation accuracy for joiners, exits, transfers, and disciplinary cases.
HR Operations & Reporting
- Track and report key HR metrics (attrition, headcount, attendance, performance outcomes).
- Ensure accurate and timely closure of confirmations, transfers, exit cases, and PIP matters.
Must-Have Skills
- Strong grounding in HR operations + basic labor law knowledge
- Ability to manage employee issues calmly and objectively
- Comfort with data, Excel trackers, and MIS
- Ability to work with frontline teams and handle high-volume environments
- Good judgement and stakeholder management
