Inviting applications for the role of Assistant Vice President Generative AI Lead - Financial Services
We are seeking an experienced Generative AI Lead with relevant years of comprehensive experience to spearhead the development and deployment of agentic AI applications within our financial services organization. This leadership role requires deep expertise in Azure AI Foundry and OpenAI SDK, combined with extensive knowledge of financial services industry regulations, compliance frameworks, and business processes.

Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Vision
Lead the strategic development and implementation of generative AI initiatives across banking, insurance, capital markets, and wealth management operations
Define and execute the AI roadmap aligned with financial services regulatory requirements and business objectives
Champion responsible AI principles and ethical deployment practices specific to financial services

Agentic AI Application Development
Architect and oversee the development of production-ready agentic AI systems using Azure AI Foundry Agent Service and OpenAI SDK
Design autonomous AI agents for complex financial processes including risk assessment, fraud detection, compliance monitoring, and customer service
Lead multi-agent orchestration initiatives for workflows such as loan processing, claims management, and regulatory reporting
Implement RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) systems integrated with financial data sources and regulatory databases

Technical Excellence & Innovation
Hands-on development using Azure AI Foundry platform for model customization, fine-tuning, and deployment at enterprise scale
Expert-level implementation of OpenAI SDK (Python preferred) for building financial applications with LLMs
Develop and maintain AI agents capable of processing multimodal financial content including contracts, invoices, regulatory filings, and market data
Ensure robust observability, monitoring, and governance of AI systems across development and production environments

Financial Services Domain Expertise
Apply deep understanding of banking operations, insurance processes, capital markets, and wealth management to AI solution design
Navigate complex regulatory landscapes including Basel III, MiFID II, GDPR, PCI DSS, and emerging AI regulations
Design AI solutions addressing specific financial use cases: credit risk modeling, AML/KYC automation, market sentiment analysis, and algorithmic trading support
Collaborate with compliance, risk management, and audit teams to ensure AI governance alignment with financial regulations

Qualifications we seek in you!
Minimum Qualifications

Relevant years of progressive experience in AI/ML leadership roles within financial services or related regulated industries
Advanced degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Financial Engineering, or equivalent technical field
Proven track record leading cross-functional AI teams (10+ members) in enterprise financial environments

Technical Expertise
Expert proficiency in Azure AI Foundry platform including Agent Service, model deployment, and enterprise integration
Advanced hands-on experience with OpenAI SDK (Python) for building production financial applications
Deep understanding of LLMs, prompt engineering, fine-tuning, and agentic AI frameworks
Experience with financial data APIs (Bloomberg, Reuters, Yahoo Finance), vector databases, and real-time data processing
Proficiency in cloud security, identity management, and compliance monitoring in Azure environments

Financial Services Knowledge
Comprehensive understanding of banking operations, insurance processes, capital markets, and regulatory frameworks
Experience with financial risk management, credit assessment, fraud detection, and compliance automation
Knowledge of regulatory requirements including AI governance standards, data privacy laws, and financial regulations
Understanding of financial modeling, quantitative analysis, and trading systems

Leadership & Communication
Demonstrated success managing AI transformation initiatives with measurable business impact (>%2410M+ savings/revenue)
Excellent stakeholder management skills across C-suite, regulators, and technical teams
Strong presentation abilities for board-level reporting and regulatory discussions

Preferred Qualifications/ Skills

Professional certifications in Azure AI, cloud architecture, or financial risk management
Background in financial services transformation, digital banking, or fintech innovation
Experience with AI ethics committees and responsible AI governance implementation
