AVP/ VP Finance - Venture Capital Firm - Bomanahalli, Bangalore
Job Summary:
A leading venture capital Firm is seeking a highly experienced and strategic AVP/VP Finance (Head of Fund & Portfolio Finance)to join its leadership team. This role is crucial for driving financial excellence across internal operations and portfolio companies. The ideal candidate will have 510 years of financial leadership experience, preferably in startup fundraising or PE/VC deal execution.
Location: Bomanahalli, Bangalore
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Lead the financial strategy for Transition VC and its portfolio startups, ensuring alignment with overall growth objectives.
- Develop financial models to support investment decisions and operational planning.
- Collaborate with leadership teams to provide actionable insights, enabling strategic scaling.
- Provide hands-on support to portfolio companies during fundraising rounds, from Series A onwards.
- Oversee capital budgeting and debt financing for portfolio startups, ensuring effective resource allocation and facilitating debt fundraising efforts.
- Lead comprehensive due diligence processes, preparing investor-ready financial documents, presentations, and detailed reports for management prior to investment decisions.
- Help establish robust financial controls, reporting mechanisms, and governance frameworks across Transition VC and its portfolio companies.
- Liaise with secretarial diligence teams to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes for both Transition VC and its portfolio companies.
- Drive the development of MIS reporting and oversee yearly budgeting for portfolio startups and the fund.
- Monitor portfolio companies performance, identify risks, and recommend corrective actions.
Role Requirements:
- In-depth knowledge of PE/VC transactions or startup finance leadership
- Proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, and regulatory complianceFinance lead at a funded startup (seed to Series B/C)
- Deal execution lead at a Big 4 firm (PE/VC specialization)
- Strong communication, leadership, and analytical skills
Education: CA / CFA, , MBA (Finance), or equivalent qualifications
Experience: 5 to 10 years of post-qualification experience
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday
