Role Description The Assistant Vice President Engineering will oversee end-to-end engineering activities for multiple real estate projects in the Pune Division in an on-site, full-time capacity. This role includes planning and supervising project execution, ensuring adherence to quality, safety, and regulatory standards, and coordinating with design, architecture, procurement, and site teams. The AVP Engineering will review technical drawings and specifications, optimize construction methodologies, monitor project timelines and budgets, and drive continuous improvement in engineering practices. The role involves collaborating closely with senior leadership on strategic decisions, managing vendor and contractor relationships, and resolving technical and operational issues promptly. The AVP Engineering will also mentor engineering teams, implement best practices, and support innovation in materials, technology, and sustainability.
Qualifications
- Strong civil/structural engineering expertise, including project planning, design review, and construction execution.
- Proficiency in project management, scheduling, cost control, and resource allocation for large-scale real estate developments.
- Knowledge of relevant building codes, safety regulations, quality standards, and compliance requirements.
- Experience collaborating with architects, consultants, contractors, and cross-functional internal teams.
- Demonstrated leadership skills in managing engineering teams, mentoring professionals, and building high-performance work cultures.
- Ability to analyze technical risks, troubleshoot site issues, and make data-informed decisions under time and budget constraints.
- Familiarity with construction and engineering software tools (e.g., AutoCAD, project management software, MS Office).
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline; a master's degree or relevant certifications is an advantage.
- Prior experience in real estate or infrastructure projects in an engineering leadership role, preferably within the Pune region or similar markets.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills, with the ability to represent engineering priorities to senior leadership.
