Job Description

We are seeking a talented individual our Compensation COE (Marsh Corporate) team at Marsh Risk India, a Marsh business. This role will be based in the Gurgaon office. This is a hybrid role that requires working in the office at least three days a week.

What can you expect

The Assistance Vice President – Compensation partners with the people partners, HR managers, HRSS and business leaders to execute the Compensation strategy for Marsh Risk and Mercer businesses in IMEA Region. The ideal candidate should have experience of job matching, job evaluation, market pricing, business advisory, advance data analysis, program design and implementation, benefits design and benchmarking. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills who can deliver under pressure with tight timelines.

We will count on you to:

Compensation

  • Evaluate market competitiveness through detailed market benchmarking and create pay ranges using data from market surveys for accurate job matches and internal equity. Using a balanced approach between organization affordability and market competitiveness.
  • Act as an expert and own end to end delivery of global processes such as Annual Compensation Process using modelling techniques, analytics and assisting in global reporting requirements.
  • Act as a total rewards advisor to business leaders, people partners and wider HR team on matters related but not limited to compensation corrections, retentions, policies and benefits.
  • Partner with global stakeholders and proactively manage communications that have country and/or regional impact.
  • Prepare and deliver compensation related reports and presentation for senior business & HR leaders translating complex rewards data into clear, practical insights to support informed compensation decisions.
  • Governance of all compensation related policies and processes
  • Manage ad-hoc intermediate to small sized projects related to compensation

Benefits (India Specific)

  • Manage development and implementation of benefits such as Group benefits plans, wellness initiatives, flexible allowances etc. Partner with external brokers/vendors to negotiate benefits renewal.
  • Drive assessment of current benefits relative to the external market and ensure the benefits programs remain market competitive and aligned to statutory requirements.
  • Providing advisory on benefits programs, policies & guidelines.

What you need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, masters preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in human resources with a strong focus on market benchmarking, benefits design and implementation, running annual merit increment process.
  • At least 5+ years experience in total rewards COE or rewards / compensation consulting
  • Proven experience of working on large datasets and generating insights.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with business leaders and HR partners.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in a similar industry will be an added advantage.
  • Experience of working on compensation related tools such as Mercer Win, Bettercomp, Marketpay.
  • Ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines while maintaining consistent quality and adherence to process / policy.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Good influencing skills.
