Role Overview
We are seeking a highly driven and strategic AVP Capability Development to design, lead, and execute EXL's enterprise-wide capability development agenda. This role will build an integrated talent and capability framework at the intersection of operations, analytics, data, and agentic AItranslating visionary talent transformation into actionable plans, driving implementation through talent teams, and embedding next-gen workflows to advance technology specialization, accelerate solutioning, and strengthen leadership effectiveness across the enterprise.
The position requires a thought leader who bridges strategy and executionconceptualizing high-impact interventions, operationalizing them at scale, and delivering measurable business outcomes in a rapidly evolving AI landscape.
Key Responsibilities
1. Talent Transformation Strategy & Execution
- Translate the CLO's vision for talent transformation in the agentic AI era into detailed, phased actionable plans with clear milestones, resources, and KPIs.
- Drive end-to-end implementation of these plans through the talent teams, ensuring alignment across HR, operations, and business units.
- Drive AI talent strategy and roadmap, including skill inventories, upskilling pathways for AI-native roles.
2. Tech Trends & Business-Talent Foresight
- Monitor and synthesize key technology trends (e.g., agentic AI, generative models, autonomous systems) and their implications for business models, operations, and talent demands.
- Conduct talent impact assessments to proactively identify skill gaps, reskilling needs, and emerging roles.
- Partner with Business Leaders, Domain Experts, and CXOs on capability development strategies with data/AI-led transformation priorities.
- Build external partnerships with tech providers, academia, and startups to import cutting-edge practices into EXL's talent ecosystem.
3. Insights, Dashboards & Performance Optimization
- Design and maintain a comprehensive talent dashboard for the CLO, providing real-time insights on capability maturity, AI readiness, skill adoption, and business impact.
- Establish measurement frameworks to track ROI on capability investments, innovation outcomes, solution win rates, and leadership effectiveness.
- Leverage data analytics to generate actionable insights, forecast talent risks, and recommend refinements based on performance data, client feedback, and market shifts.
- Mitigate execution risks by monitoring progress, flagging bottlenecks, and enabling rapid course corrections.
4. Stakeholder Orchestration & Change Leadership
- Act as a key interface for the CLO, preparing executive communications, briefings, and presentations to align stakeholders on talent transformation progress.
- Drive change management across functions, embedding capabilities into the flow of work and overcoming adoption barriers.
Key Requirements
Education
- MBA or equivalent in Business, Strategy, Organizational Development or a tech-related field.
Experience
- 1215 years in talent strategy, capability building, AI/digital transformation, or consulting in global enterprises (BPM/IT services preferred).
- Proven success translating high-level visions into executable plans and driving them to completion via cross-functional teams.
- Hands-on experience with AI talent strategies, tech trend analysis, dashboard development (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), and enterprise transformation.
- Track record in data/AI adoption, innovation scaling, and CXO-level stakeholder management.
