Assistant Vice President – Billing
Location: Mumbai (Office-Based Role)
Qualification: Graduate (Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or related field); MBA preferred

The role requires strong leadership capabilities, operational excellence, stakeholder management skills, and experience working within regulated financial services environments.
Key Responsibilities
Billing Operations Management
- Lead and supervise the end-to-end billing process, including invoice generation, validation, adjustments, dispute resolution, and timely collections.
- Ensure accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to established billing procedures.
Team Leadership
- Manage, mentor, and develop a team of billing professionals.
- Set objectives, conduct performance reviews, and foster a high-performance culture.
Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to streamline and automate billing processes.
- Implement best practices and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Compliance & Audit
- Ensure adherence to internal policies, regulatory requirements, and audit standards related to billing and revenue recognition.
- Support internal and external audits and ensure timely closure of audit observations.
Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare and present billing metrics, revenue reports, ageing analysis, and management information reports.
- Provide actionable insights to support strategic decision-making.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with Finance, Operations, IT, and Business Development/Sales teams to resolve billing issues.
- Support new product launches and initiatives that impact billing processes.
Technology Utilisation
- Oversee the implementation, enhancement, and optimization of billing systems and ERP platforms.
- Coordinate with IT teams on system improvements and troubleshooting.
Customer Relations
- Handle escalated client queries and billing disputes.
- Ensure prompt and satisfactory resolution while maintaining service quality.
Risk Management
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks associated with billing errors, revenue leakage, and compliance breaches.

Qualification & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- MBA or equivalent qualification preferred.
- 10–15+ years of overall experience in Billing, Revenue Management, Finance Operations, or related functions.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a leadership or team management role.
- Strong understanding of Billing Systems, ERP Platforms, and Automation Tools.
- Knowledge of Accounting Standards, Regulatory Requirements, and Audit Principles.
