Introduction:
This position is responsible for leading and managing a team of automation, analytics and data science projects, driving business outcomes through data-driven insights and solutions. The leader will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities, develop strategies, and implement solutions. They will also be responsible for building and managing a team of automation and analytics professionals, ensuring high data quality, and staying up-to-date with industry trends.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning: develop and execute a data-driven strategy aligned with business goals, identifying areas for automation and analytics application.
- Project Management: manage projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
- Team Leadership: build, lead, and mentor team of automation and analytics professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
- Data Governance: establish and maintain data quality standards, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and accessibility.
- Communication: effectively communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring understanding and buy-in.
- Solution Development: identify and implement data-driven solutions to address business challenges, leveraging automation, analytics and data science techniques.
- Industry Knowledge: stay current with industry trends and best practices in automation, analytics, and data science, ensuring the team is at the forefront of innovation.
- Collaboration: work effectively with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, align on goals, and implement solutions.
- Performance Monitoring: track key performance indicators (KPIs) and measure the impact of data-driven initiatives, ensuring continuous improvement.
Essential Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., statistics, data science, computer science, engineering), or equivalent experience. Master's degree preferred.
- 10+ years experience in automation, analytics, data science, with experience leading teams responsible for delivering projects using these techniques
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Programming: Proficiency in programming languages like Python or SQL is highly desirable.
- Data Analysis: Strong analytical skills and experience with data analysis techniques.
- Data Visualization: Ability to create clear and insightful visualizations of data.
- Automation: Understanding of automation concepts and experience with relevant tools.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and solve problems using data and analytical techniques.
