Job Overview

The Assistant Store Manager at Reliance Retail will support store leadership and drive operational efficiency within our Bidar location. This full-time, mid-level position is ideal for candidates with up to 6 years of retail experience, who are passionate about store management and delivering excellent customer service. Qualifications And Skills

  • Proven expertise in retail store operations with the ability to manage day-to-day sales, service, and operational tasks (Mandatory skill).
  • Solid experience in inventory management, ensuring optimal stock levels, order accuracy and prompt replenishments.
  • Ability to oversee all aspects of store management, including opening, closing, staff supervision and compliance processes.
  • Strong knowledge of shrinkage management practices to minimize loss and ensure effective security procedures.
  • Hands-on experience in visual merchandising, executing store layouts, signage, and displays for maximum impact.
  • Demonstrated ability to build, train, and motivate frontline retail teams for enhanced customer engagement and service.
  • Understanding of retail key performance indicators to track, analyze and drive store results consistently.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a customer-centric approach and commitment to delivering superior shopping experiences.
  • Ability to effectively communicate, coordinate tasks, and maintain relationships with customers, staff and upper management.
  • Previous experience in a fast-paced, high-volume retail environment is highly desirable and will be an added advantage.

Roles And Responsibilities

  • Assist the Store Manager in executing daily store operations, ensuring operational standards are met and exceeded consistently.
  • Manage and monitor inventory levels, stock inward and outward flow, expiry management, and accurate product placements.
  • Drive adherence to store SOPs, company policies, and compliance standards as per Reliance Retail requirements.
  • Coordinate with the team to implement effective shrinkage control measures and loss prevention strategies.
  • Ensure optimal visual merchandising standards to enhance the stores appearance and customer engagement.
  • Train, motivate, and supervise store staff to deliver outstanding customer service and achieve sales targets.
  • Monitor sales, analyze performance reports, and recommend initiatives to improve store profitability.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and performance appraisal processes within the store.
  • Address customer grievances efficiently while fostering a positive shopping environment.
  • Collaborate with supply chain and merchandising teams to ensure timely product availability and promotional execution.
