Job Description

Key responsibilities

Sales and business performance

  • Drive monthly and seasonal sales targets for the store along with the Store Manager, and track performance by category (couture, bridal, menswear, accessories) and by stylist.
  • Personally handle key and high-value clients, including bridal appointments, private viewings and trousseau orders, from the first consultation through to final trials and delivery.
  • Track conversion, average ticket size and repeat business, and use this to coach the team on where sales are being lost.

Client experience and clientele

  • Make sure every client receives a personalized, unhurried experience that matches the brand's positioning, whether they are a first-time walk-in or a long-standing couture client.
  • Build and maintain the client database (CRM), with up-to-date notes on preferences, measurements, occasions and past purchases, and run regular clientele outreach for new collections, trunk shows and events.
  • Handle escalations, alterations and delivery concerns calmly and quickly, and keep the client informed at every stage.
  • Coordinate with the Noida atelier and design team on made-to-order and customized pieces, so that timelines, fittings and client commitments are met.

Store operations and visual merchandising

  • Oversee opening and closing procedures, cash and card reconciliation, billing accuracy and daily sales reporting.
  • Manage stock receiving, transfers, cycle counts and shrinkage control, and make sure garments are stored and handled with the care couture pieces need.
  • Maintain visual merchandising and display standards as per brand guidelines and keep the heritage space (including the couture client area) in immaculate condition.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, SOPs and statutory requirements, and coordinate with facilities, security and housekeeping vendors.

Events and brand presence

  • Support in-store events, trunk shows, collection launches, styling sessions and celebrity or press appointments, from guest lists and logistics to on-the-day execution.
  • Share market feedback with the Head of Retail and design team on what Mumbai clients are asking for, what is selling, and where competition is active.

Experience and qualifications

  • 5 to 8 years of experience in luxury or premium fashion retail (designer labels, couture, bridal, fine jewelry or international luxury brands), with at least 2 years leading a team on the floor.
  • A proven record of meeting sales targets and building a loyal, high-net-worth client base, ideally with an existing Mumbai clientele.
  • Hands-on understanding of Indian bridal and occasion wear, fabrics, embroideries and the made-to-order process.
  • Working knowledge of POS and CRM systems, stock management and MS Excel for daily reporting.
