Job Overview
We are seeking a results-driven and experienced Assistant Sales Manager to manage and grow our industrial sales operations across
Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in channel sales (distributor management) and direct key account handling in the industrial sector.
Responsibilities
- Sales & Business Development:
- Drive sales targets and business growth across the assigned regions.
- Conduct regular client visits, product presentations, and technical discussions.
- Identify new business opportunities with OEMs, industrial clients, and institutional buyers.
- Develop and execute regional sales strategies in alignment with business goals.
- Distributor Management:
- Appoint, onboard, and manage distributors for industrial products.
- Monitor distributor performance, ensure order fulfilment, credit management, and inventory planning.
- Conduct regular training and engagement activities for channel partners.
- Key Account Management:
- Directly handle strategic accounts and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers.
- Understand client needs, offer suitable solutions, and ensure post-sales support and satisfaction.
- Prepare and negotiate proposals, commercial terms, and contracts.
- Market Intelligence:
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback.
- Provide actionable insights to the management for new product planning or pricing strategies.
- Reporting & MIS:
- Submit regular sales reports, forecasts, and market analysis.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions and sales pipeline using CRM tools.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering. MBA will be an added advantage.
- 57 years of experience in industrial/B2B sales, preferably in Gujarat and MP.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel frequently across Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh.
- Proficiency in CRM tools and MS Office.
