Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for an Assistant Sales Manager in the Odisha region, specifically covering Angul and Paradip. The Assistant Sales Manager will be responsible for managing and expanding sales operations, building relationships with key clients, identifying opportunities for growth, and executing sales strategies. This is regional role focused on managing key industrial customers in Odisha, including Fertilizer & Chemical,, terminals, steel plants, and EPCs.This role also includes working closely with the engineering and service teams to deliver tailored solutions to meet client needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage customer relationships in Angul, Paradip, and surrounding regions.
  • Track projects, tenders, and opportunities in the major industrial sectors.
  • Provide technical support and solution recommendations.
  • Drive regional sales targets and reporting.

Ideal Profile

  • Engineering background with experience in industrial products and solution sales
  • Strong regional customer network in Odisha.
  • Ability to manage both technical and commercial discussions.

Qualifications

  • Comprehensive understanding of flow control, process analytics, and automation systems, along with the ability to provide technical solutions.
  • Strong experience in sales, client relationship management, and business development in industrial sectors such as oil & gas, steel, or chemicals.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills to effectively engage with clients and team members.
  • Proficiency in project management with the ability to coordinate resources and meet deadlines efficiently.
  • Capability to analyze market trends and develop competitive strategies for business growth.
  • A degree in engineering (Instrumentation, Mechanical, or Electrical) or a related technical field.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region for client visits and on-site support.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and MS Office tools is an added advantage.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and industry experience will be highly preferred.
