Assistant Sales Manager

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Marketing:

• Achieve sales targets for the assigned region/zone.
• Understand product suitability for customer applications and provide demos or trials.
• Ensure receipt of purchase orders at competitive rates through negotiations.
• Coordinate with stakeholders for effective execution of high-value orders.
• Participate in sales exhibitions, trade shows, and promotional events.

Business Development:

• Identify new industries, applications, and customers for product promotion.
• Conduct market intelligence on competitor products, features, and pricing.
• Explore opportunities to penetrate new industries and markets.

Team Management:

• Induct and train new team members on sales processes.
• Guide the sales team on technical aspects of products.
• Accompany sales engineers on customer visits when required.
• Support pre-sales teams in closing high-value deals with pricing and discount guidance.

Reporting & Analysis:

• Review Daily Visit Reports (DVR) and regional sales planners.
• Monitor and analyze the sales funnel on a weekly basis.
• Provide insights on execution targets and performance metrics weekly/monthly.
• Coordinate with Group Incharge & AVP Sales for regional performance analysis.
• Prepare annual projections and presentations for management review.
