Location - Chandigarh
Sales Strategy & Execution
- Develop and implement regional sales plans aligned with company objectives.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities and key accounts within the target industries.
- Achieve or exceed sales targets, profitability, and market share goals.
Customer Engagement
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers (Engineering, Procurement, Operations, Maintenance).
- Understand customer applications, technical needs, and project timelines to propose suitable solutions.
- Provide pre-sales consultation and post-sales follow-up to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Industry Focus
- Deeply engage with industries such as:
- Thermal and hydel power plants.
- Integrated steel plants and rolling mills.
- Open cast and underground mining operations.
- Mineral processing and beneficiation plants.
Cross-functional Coordination
- Work closely with internal departments (Application Engineering, Service, Logistics, Finance) to deliver tailored customer solutions.
- Support tender documentation, pricing strategies, and contract negotiations.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education:
- Diploma / Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Industrial / Electrical Engineering.
Experience:
- Minimum 5-8years of sales experience in industrial capital goods (preferably pumps, valves, compressors, or process equipment).
- Experience selling into power, steel, mining, or mineral processing industries is an advantage.
Technical & Functional Skills:
- Exposure of fluid handling systems, rotating equipment, or process plant engineering equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong negotiation and closing skills preferable.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Personality Traits:
- Self-driven and target-oriented.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving mindset.
- Collaborative, able to work across departments and teams.
- Willing to travel extensively (15-20 days per month) within the region.
- Age between 25-35 years.
Languages:
- Fluency in English and Hindi is essential.
- Knowledge of other regional languages will be an added advantage.
