Description:

Location - Chandigarh

Sales Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and implement regional sales plans aligned with company objectives.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities and key accounts within the target industries.
  • Achieve or exceed sales targets, profitability, and market share goals.

Customer Engagement

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers (Engineering, Procurement, Operations, Maintenance).
  • Understand customer applications, technical needs, and project timelines to propose suitable solutions.
  • Provide pre-sales consultation and post-sales follow-up to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Industry Focus

  • Deeply engage with industries such as:
  • Thermal and hydel power plants.
  • Integrated steel plants and rolling mills.
  • Open cast and underground mining operations.
  • Mineral processing and beneficiation plants.

Cross-functional Coordination

  • Work closely with internal departments (Application Engineering, Service, Logistics, Finance) to deliver tailored customer solutions.
  • Support tender documentation, pricing strategies, and contract negotiations.

Qualifications & Skills:

Education:

  • Diploma / Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Industrial / Electrical Engineering.

Experience:

  • Minimum 5-8years of sales experience in industrial capital goods (preferably pumps, valves, compressors, or process equipment).
  • Experience selling into power, steel, mining, or mineral processing industries is an advantage.

Technical & Functional Skills:

  • Exposure of fluid handling systems, rotating equipment, or process plant engineering equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills preferable.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Personality Traits:

  • Self-driven and target-oriented.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset.
  • Collaborative, able to work across departments and teams.
  • Willing to travel extensively (15-20 days per month) within the region.
  • Age between 25-35 years.

Languages:

  • Fluency in English and Hindi is essential.
  • Knowledge of other regional languages will be an added advantage.
