The Deputy Registrar / Assistant Registrar – Research Administration is responsible for leading and managing the University's research administration functions, ensuring effective governance, regulatory compliance, and administrative support for research-related activities.
Role & Responsibilities:
- The incumbent will oversee research grants administration, doctoral (Ph.D.) programs, fellowship administration research compliance, and coordination with statutory and regulatory bodies.
- The role requires close collaboration with faculty members, research scholars, funding agencies, and university leadership to strengthen the University's research ecosystem while ensuring adherence to institutional policies and government regulations.
- Demonstrated experience in administering research grants, Ph.D. programmes, research fellowships, and academic administration.
- Experience in coordinating with funding agencies such as UGC, CSIR, DST, DBT, AICTE, SERB, ICSSR, and other government funding organizations.
- Experience in dealing with regulatory bodies such as UGC, AICTE, and accreditation agencies including NAAC, NBA, NIRF, QS, and THE is highly desirable.
- Proven experience in drafting university regulations, office orders, policy documents, statutory reports, and committee proceedings.
- Exposure to ERP-based university administration systems and digital document management is preferred.
Qualification & Experience Requirements
- Postgraduate degree with First Class or an equivalent grade from a recognized University.
- Minimum 15 years of administrative experience in reputed Higher Education Institutions. At least 8 years should be in the Registrar's Office of a large University.
