Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Assistant Purchasing Manager located in Ahmedabad. The Assistant Purchasing Manager will be responsible for managing the procurement of materials, developing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, maintaining budgets, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services. The role also involves overseeing inventory levels, analyzing purchasing metrics, and collaborating with various teams to meet operational and cost objectives.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in procurement, supplier relationship management, and contract negotiation
- Knowledge of inventory management and purchasing metrics analysis
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams to meet operational objectives
- Prior experience in the automotive or manufacturing industry is preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- Proficiency in relevant software systems and tools is highly desirable
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
