Job Title: Assistant Purchase Manager

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and detail‑oriented Assistant Purchase Manager to support the end‑to‑end procurement function, vendor management, and supply chain operations. The ideal candidate should have hands‑on experience in export–import operations, along with strong coordination skills and familiarity with hospitality, F&B, or large‑scale procurement environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage procurement activities including sourcing, vendor negotiations, purchase orders, and delivery timelines

• Handle the entire export–import operations, including documentation, coordination, and execution of international shipments (UK & UAE)

• Liaise with Customs House Agents (CHAs) for clearance, compliances, and shipment tracking

• Visit JNPT warehouses whenever required to oversee cargo movement, inspections, and documentation

• Ensure timely procurement of goods/materials as per operational needs

• Maintain vendor relationships, evaluate performance, and ensure adherence to quality/contract terms

• Coordinate with internal teams (Operations, Finance, Stores, Production, Logistics) to ensure smooth purchasing processes

• Review inventory levels, monitor stock requirements, and support demand planning

• Maintain accurate records, reports, and purchase documentation

• Ensure compliance with company policies, statutory norms, and audit processes

Skills & Requirements

• Proven experience in procurement/purchase (hospitality/F&B preferred)

Strong knowledge of export‑import processes, customs regulations & shipment documentation

• Experience coordinating with CHAs, freight forwarders, shipping lines, and warehouse teams

• Understanding of procurement planning, vendor management & negotiation

• Strong communication, analytical and coordination skills

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment

• Proficiency in MS Office, Tally/ERP systems is an advantage

Preferred Profile

• Graduate/Post‑Graduate in Supply Chain, Commerce, or related field

• Experience with overseas shipments, port operations, or EXIM procedures

• Candidates with strong exposure to hospitality, catering, or large‑scale F&B procurement
