Role Overview

We're seeking an Assistant PR Manager who is sharp, self-driven, and execution-focused.

This is not a traditional manager roleyou'll be deeply involved in both strategy and execution, leading campaigns from concept to delivery while building and mentoring a high-performing team.

You'll work directly with our clients (C-suite executives and senior leadership teams), own end-to-end campaign delivery, and play a critical role in driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Planning & Client Leadership

Develop integrated PR and communication strategies aligned with client business objectives

Act as the primary strategic advisor to clients, providing proactive insights and recommendations

Stay ahead of market trends, industry shifts, and competitive landscapes to keep strategies relevant

Build and maintain strong relationships with senior client stakeholders (CXOs, Heads of Marketing/Communications)

Anticipate client needs and deliver solutions before they're asked for

2. Campaign Execution & Quality Control

Execute, not just managebe hands-on with campaign delivery alongside your team

Oversee daily operations ensuring all work is delivered on time, within budget, and with measurable impact

Write, review, and approve all major deliverables:

Press releases and media advisories

Thought leadership articles and bylines

Speeches, Q&As, and holding statements

Social media content and digital copy

Coordinate and execute press conferences, media briefings, product launches, and panel discussions

Establish clear KPIs for every campaign and track performance rigorously

3. Media Relations & Stakeholder Engagement

Build and leverage strong media relationships in the corporate and finance sector (this is critical)

Maintain an active network across national, regional, and industry-specific publications

Identify and engage with key journalists, influencers, analysts, and sector leaders

Craft compelling, newsworthy stories that secure high-impact coverage

Lead crisis communication effortsfrom strategy development to real-time media response

4. Business Development & Growth

Participate actively in new business pitchesideation, strategy, proposal writing, and presentations

Create persuasive PowerPoint presentations and pitch decks (strong PPT skills are mandatory)

Identify organic growth opportunities within existing client accounts

Contribute to agency case studies, award submissions, and marketing initiatives

5. Team Leadership & Development

Lead, mentor, and coach junior executives

Build your departmenthire, train, and develop talent as the agency scales

Delegate effectively while maintaining accountability and quality standards

Encourage data-driven, insight-led thinking across your team

Foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, and high performance

What We're Looking For
Must-Have Experience

46 years in PR, corporate communications, or media relations

Proven experience leading a team of 45+ people

Strong media relationships in the corporate/finance/business sectoryou should have an active network of journalists you can reach out to

Experience managing multiple client accounts simultaneously

Track record of delivering measurable PR outcomes (media coverage, brand positioning, crisis management)

Must-Have Skills

Excellent PowerPoint and presentation skillsyou'll be creating strategies, pitch decks, and client presentations regularly

Strong writing abilitypress releases, thought leadership content, proposals, media pitches

Strategic thinking combined with hands-on execution capability

Crisis communication and issues management experience

Ability to manage budgets, timelines, and deliverables effectively

Preferred

Experience in BFSI, fintech, or B2B technology sectors

Understanding of financial services, banking regulations, and investment landscapes

Exposure to digital PR, content marketing, and integrated campaigns
