Job Description
Key responsibilities:
- Assist with the health and safety development, performance, and maintenance within the organization.
- Assist with health and safety management systems in accordance with organization plans and compliance with and adherence to legislation and applicable regulatory bodies processes and procedures.
- Contribute to training and development of the team.
- Assist with all day-to-day health and safety activities.
- Contribute to ensuring that the organization meets all health and safety legislation objectives and that appropriate risk mitigation/control measures are in place.
- Assist with identifying any shortfalls in and/or potential improvements to policy and process, assess effectiveness of current policies and processes and recommend and help implement required changes.
- Maintain and improve mechanisms for risk assessment and disseminate feedback as appropriate.
- Assist in developing plans for team activities to include health and safety strategy to achieve agreed targets, and effective planning.
- Maintain accurate records.
- Adhere to all organization policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Education - B.Sc./B.E/B. Tech/ Diploma in Safety from reputed Institute. Preferably with IOSH & NEBOSH.
- 08-10 years of work experience with demonstrated career growth graph.
- Sound Knowledge and experience of project HSE management & government compliance related to health, environment etc.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, along with presentation skills and the capability to relate and communicate with people from a variety of diverse backgrounds at all levels of the industry.
- Understanding of the total project HSE requirement at different phases, compliances, code of practices, standards.
- Knowledge of GIRHA related compliance and Labour laws.
