Assistant Project Manager
Jones Lang LaSalle Property Consultants (India) Pvt. Ltd. is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to oversee and manage design activities within our Project and Development Services Corporate Solutions. This role is pivotal in ensuring the successful delivery of design projects, maintaining quality, and fostering strong client relationships.
What this job involves:
- Sitting on top of all design projects: You'll manage and lead design activities, ensuring projects stay on track and within budget. This includes collecting and fully understanding client requirements, building appropriate design management procedures, and collaborating closely with the design team to prevent gaps or misunderstandings. You will plan and lead report meetings with clients and relevant government authorities.
- Driving Value Engineering: A key part of your role will be to drive and manage value engineering from initiation to completion. You will coordinate with designers to align the design program with procurement. You'll proactively address questions such as specific client decision points during design development, strategies for managing and tracking design changes, and ensuring a smooth handover process.
- Pushing things in the right direction: You will face tough design challenges head-on, developing practical designs and matching master schedules. You will monitor the design team's performance, ensuring they are on track for successful project completion. Additionally, you'll be responsible for identifying potential delay risks and proactively communicating them to the Project Manager to collaboratively find solutions.
To apply you need to be:
- An active practitioner: You possess a degree in architectural, civil engineering, MEP engineering, or a related discipline, or a combination of formal education and over 10 years of experience in design, construction, or project management. You must also be well-versed in design management.
- A business expert with administrative skills: You have the ability to acquire new clients in both international and domestic markets. Knowledge of design contracts, commercial negotiations, market analyses, and marketing processes is crucial for this role.
- Technically Proficient: A strong technical background and expertise in MS Project, MS Excel, MS Word, and/or other scheduling software are required. Familiarity with AutoCAD provides a competitive advantage.
