Position Overview: We are seeking a talented Designer to join our construction team, responsible for creating innovative design solutions for commercial, residential, or mixed-use development projects. The ideal candidate will collaborate with architects, engineers, project managers, and clients to deliver functional, aesthetically pleasing, and cost-effective design solutions from concept through construction completion.

Key Responsibilities:

Design Development Prepare detailed design drawings, specifications, and documentation using CAD software and BIM platforms. Develop conceptual designs that meet client requirements, building codes, and regulatory standards while balancing functionality, aesthetics, and budget constraints. Create presentation materials including 3D renderings, floor plans, elevations, and material boards for client meetings and stakeholder reviews.

Project Coordination Work closely with multidisciplinary teams including architects, structural engineers, MEP engineers, and contractors to ensure design intent is maintained throughout construction phases. Participate in design review meetings, value engineering sessions, and construction administration activities. Coordinate with consultants and vendors to specify appropriate materials, finishes, and building systems.

Technical Documentation Produce construction documents, detail drawings, and specifications that comply with local building codes and industry standards. Review shop drawings, submittals, and material samples for compliance with design specifications. Support construction teams by providing clarifications, design modifications, and field support as needed during the building process.

Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering, or related field. 3-5 years of experience in construction, architecture, or design consulting. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite. Strong understanding of building codes, construction methods, and material properties. Excellent communication skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications: Professional certification (LEED AP, NCIDQ, or similar). Experience with sustainable design principles and green building practices. Knowledge of project management software and construction scheduling tools.

This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse construction projects while developing expertise in both design innovation and practical construction implementation.
