Role Description
This is a full-time on-site position for an Assistant Professor at Suryadatta Institute of Fashion Technology in Pune. The Assistant Professor will be responsible for planning and delivering lectures, conducting practical sessions, designing course curriculums, mentoring students, and evaluating academic progress. Additional responsibilities include collaborating with colleagues to improve educational standards, staying updated with industry trends, and participating in academic events and research activities to enhance the institute's reputation.
Qualifications
- Expertise in Fashion Design, Textiles, Garment Construction, Draping, and Pattern Making
- Ability to teach and mentor students in creative thinking, innovation, and design theory
- Proficiency in using design software such as Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW, or CAD for fashion applications
- Strong research, analytical, and curriculum development skills
- Effective communication and presentation skills with a passion for teaching
- A Master's degree in Fashion Design, Apparel Technology, or a related field; a Ph.D. or equivalent qualification is an added advantage
- Relevant professional experience in the fashion industry or academia
