Assistant Professor - Soft Skills
Position Summary
The Assistant Professor - Soft Skills is responsible for the design, delivery, and evaluation of comprehensive behavioral training programs that enhance student employability and professional readiness. This role serves as a critical bridge between academic theory and industry expectations, ensuring students possess the interpersonal competencies required for global workforce success.
Key Responsibilities
- Instructional Design & Curriculum Development: Research and architect modular training programs focused on professional ethics, advanced communication, and emotional intelligence. Align curriculum with current industry trends and institutional learning outcomes.
- Employability Enhancement: Facilitate specialized workshops on strategic resume building, interview techniques, and corporate etiquette to improve student placement rates.
- Experiential Learning Facilitation: Implement modern pedagogical techniques, including gamification, case study analysis, and simulated role-plays, to maximize student engagement and practical skill application.
- Assessment & Performance Analytics: Systematically evaluate student progress through diagnostic assessments and provide formal feedback loops. Maintain detailed records of training outcomes and generate impact reports for university leadership.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with academic department heads to customize training interventions for specific disciplines, such as STEM or Liberal Arts, ensuring relevance to diverse professional fields.
Required Qualifications & Competencies
- Education: Advanced degree (Master's preferred) in English.
- Professional Experience: 1–3 years of proven experience in behavioral training, adult education, or corporate learning and development.
- Interpersonal Expertise: Exceptional public speaking and presentation capabilities with the ability to influence and inspire a diverse student body.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced skill in Microsoft Office Suite and virtual collaboration tools like Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Professional Credentials: Preferred certifications in NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming), Instructional Design, or IELTS coaching
