Role Description The Assistant Professor (Physiotherapy) will be responsible for delivering high-quality classroom and laboratory instruction in physiotherapy and related subjects, following the institution's academic curriculum and standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, conducting lectures and practical sessions, mentoring students, supervising clinical training, and evaluating student performance through assignments, examinations, and projects. The role involves contributing to academic research, participating in departmental meetings, engaging in curriculum development, and supporting institutional initiatives and events. The Assistant Professor will also provide academic guidance, maintain professional and ethical standards in teaching and assessment, and collaborate with colleagues to enhance the learning experience. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Jalandhar.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of physiotherapy principles, clinical practices, and current developments in the field, with the ability to teach core and specialized subjects effectively.
• Experience in academic instruction, student mentoring, and assessment within a higher education or clinical training environment.
• Effective communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse learners and maintain an inclusive classroom environment.
• Ability to participate in research activities, scholarly writing, and academic collaboration, contributing to the department's academic output.
• Proficiency in using educational technology, digital resources, and basic computer applications to support teaching and learning.
• Organizational and time-management skills to handle teaching loads, administrative tasks, and academic responsibilities efficiently.
• Master's degree in Physiotherapy (MPT) from a recognized institution; higher qualifications or relevant certifications in specialized areas of physiotherapy are an advantage.
• Registration with an appropriate professional council or regulatory body, and adherence to professional and ethical standards in physiotherapy practice and education.
