Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering, based in Mohali district. The role involves teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses, conducting research, mentoring students, and contributing to curriculum development in the mechanical engineering discipline. The Assistant Professor will collaborate with faculty members on academic projects, participate in academic committees, and stay updated with the latest advancements in the field. The position also demands the organization of seminars, workshops, and other academic activities to enhance student engagement and learning.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of core mechanical engineering subjects, including Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics, and Solid Mechanics
- Experience in research methodologies, academic writing, and publishing research in reputed journals
- Proficiency in using modern teaching tools and platforms, as well as understanding of curriculum design
- Excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively convey technical concepts and mentor students
- Problem-solving abilities and collaboration skills for multidisciplinary academic and research projects
- Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is preferred; a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering with relevant experience will be considered
- Prior teaching experience at the higher education level is an asset
- Familiarity with innovations in higher education and an interest in contributing to the EdTech domain
