Assistant Professor of Mathematics - Amity University Hyderabad

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for an Assistant Professor of Mathematics at Amity University Hyderabad, located in Shamshabad, just 5 minutes away from Rajiv Gandhi International Airport. The Assistant Professor will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and postgraduate mathematics courses, including lectures, tutorials, and laboratory-based sessions where applicable. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, developing learning materials, designing and grading assessments, and providing academic guidance and mentoring to learners. The role also involves engaging in research and scholarly activities, contributing to curriculum development, participating in departmental and university committees, and supporting accreditation and quality assurance processes. The Assistant Professor is expected to collaborate with colleagues, participate in academic events, and maintain an inclusive, learner-centered classroom environment.

Qualifications

• PhD in Mathematics
• Strong knowledge of Mathematics and Applied Mathematics.
• Ability to teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses effectively.
• Experience or interest in curriculum development and outcome-based education.
• Research publications and scholarly contributions in relevant areas.
• Good communication, mentoring, and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with modern teaching methodologies and Learning Management Systems (LMS) is desirable.
• Commitment to academic excellence, research, and institutional development.
