Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Assistant Professor of General Management role based at JAIN (Deemed-to-be University) in Bengaluru. The selected candidate will teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in general management, including areas such as organizational behavior, marketing, and related disciplines, using contemporary pedagogical methods. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and delivering lectures, designing and updating curricula, mentoring students, evaluating assessments, and providing academic advising. The role also involves active participation in research activities, publishing in peer-reviewed journals, contributing to departmental initiatives, and engaging in university-level committees and events. The Assistant Professor is expected to collaborate with colleagues, support accreditation efforts, and uphold the institution's academic standards and values.

Qualifications

  • Strong expertise in Business law, corporate governance and strategic management, with the ability to integrate theory and practice in classroom teaching.
  • Demonstrated experience or interest in Curriculum Development, including designing course outlines, learning outcomes, and assessment methods.
  • Proficiency in Research within management or related fields, with a record of publications or clear potential for scholarly output.
  • Experience in University Teaching, including delivering lectures, facilitating discussions, and using innovative and learner-cantered teaching strategies.
  • Knowledge of Marketing concepts and applications, with the ability to teach marketing-related subjects as part of the General Management curriculum.
  • Relevant postgraduate degree (preferably Ph.D. or enrolled in a Ph.D. program) in Management or a closely related discipline from a recognized institution.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse groups of students and collaborate effectively with faculty and staff.
  • Commitment to ethical academic practices, student mentoring, continuous professional development, and contribution to institutional growth.
