Role Description The Assistant Professor of Finance will engage in full-time, on-site teaching and academic responsibilities at the Bengaluru campus. Day-to-day tasks include delivering undergraduate and postgraduate courses in finance and related areas, preparing and updating course materials, and using diverse teaching methodologies to enhance student learning. The role involves supervising student projects, mentoring learners on academic and career matters, and supporting curriculum development aligned with current industry and research trends. The Assistant Professor will conduct and publish scholarly research, participate in academic seminars and conferences, contribute to departmental activities, and take part in institutional initiatives such as program accreditation and outreach.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge and teaching ability in Core Finance, Stock markets, Financial analysis and Python.
- Competence in Accounting and related quantitative financial skills.
- Background in Economics and understanding of economic principles relevant to finance.
- Demonstrated Research skills, including the ability to design studies, analyse data, and publish in reputable journals.
- Relevant academic qualification, preferably a Ph.D. or equivalent in Finance (related discipline (candidates with a strong record of progress towards a doctorate may also be considered).
- Prior teaching or instructional experience at the university level and familiarity with modern pedagogical methods and learning technologies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly to diverse learners.
- Capacity to work collaboratively within an academic department, contribute to curriculum development, and engage in continuous professional development.
