About the Role
Amity University Hyderabad invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor – Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE). The selected candidate will contribute to excellence in teaching, research, innovation, student mentoring, and academic administration while supporting the University's vision of industry-oriented and research-driven education. The role is aligned with UGC/AICTE norms and emphasizes academic excellence and high-quality research.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Electronics & Communication Engineering.
- Deliver lectures, tutorials, laboratory sessions, and practical demonstrations.
- Design and update curriculum in accordance with emerging technologies and industry requirements.
- Guide students in academic projects, internships, capstone projects, and innovation activities.
- Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate research projects.
- Publish research papers in reputed SCI/Scopus-indexed journals.
- Prepare and submit proposals for sponsored research projects, consultancy, patents, and technology transfer.
- Establish collaborations with industries, research organizations, and academic institutions.
- Organize seminars, workshops, conferences, faculty development programmes, and technical events.
- Participate in accreditation (NBA/NAAC), quality assurance, and departmental administrative responsibilities.
- Mentor students for placements, higher studies, entrepreneurship, and professional development.

Essential Qualifications
- B.E./B.Tech. in Electronics & Communication Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- M.E./M.Tech. in Electronics & Communication Engineering or a relevant specialization with First Class.
- Ph.D. in Electronics & Communication Engineering or a related area (awarded or submitted, as per institutional requirements).
- Consistently strong academic record.
- Qualifications should be in accordance with UGC/AICTE norms.
Experience
- Teaching experience at a recognized university or higher education institution is desirable.
- Demonstrated research publications in quality journals and conferences.
- Experience in laboratory development, curriculum design, and project supervision is preferred.
- Relevant industrial or R&D experience in semiconductor, embedded systems, telecommunications, or related sectors will be an added advantage.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Electronics and Communication Engineering fundamentals.
- Hands-on experience.
