Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at Amity University's Hyderabad campus. The Assistant Professor will be responsible for designing and delivering high-quality learning experiences in computer science, developing and revising curricula, conducting research in specialized fields, publishing in reputed journals, mentoring students, and contributing to service initiatives within the university. Collaboration with colleagues on academic and research projects, as well as participation in departmental and university-wide committees, will be key aspects of the role.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in Computer Science foundations and principles, along with an ability to teach core computer science concepts effectively.
• Proficiency in Data Science and Cybersecurity with experience in related tools, techniques, and frameworks.
• Extensive Programming knowledge with expertise in coding practices and the application of programming languages.
• Experience in Curriculum Development and an understanding of modern pedagogical methods.
• Proven research capacity with a history of publishing papers in peer-reviewed journals.
• Strong communication and mentoring abilities, with a commitment to fostering an engaging learning environment.
• Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related field from a reputable institution (or equivalent industry experience).
• Prior teaching experience at the university level and involvement in research grants or projects is preferred.
