Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for an Assistant Professor of Clinical Psychology, based at Amity University Ranchi, Jharkhand. The role involves designing and delivering undergraduate and/or postgraduate courses in clinical psychology, using a variety of effective and inclusive teaching methods. The Assistant Professor will conduct high-quality research, publish in peer-reviewed journals, and contribute to the academic reputation of the department and university. Daily responsibilities include preparing lectures, supervising student projects and dissertations, mentoring students, and supporting their academic and professional development. The role also includes curriculum development, participation in departmental and university committees, organizing academic events, and contributing to outreach and community engagement activities related to mental health and psychological well-being.

Qualifications

• MPhil with RCI Registration.
• Demonstrated experience in University Teaching and Teaching, including designing and delivering lectures, seminars, and practical sessions in psychology or related disciplines.
• Expertise in Research, with evidence of publications, conference presentations, or ongoing research projects in clinical psychology or allied areas.
• Experience or interest in Curriculum Development, including creating and revising course content, assessments, and learning outcomes aligned with current academic and professional standards.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with a student-centered and inclusive approach to teaching and mentoring.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, contribute to academic committees, and participate in departmental initiatives and institutional development.
• Commitment to ethical practice, diversity, and equity in education and clinical training, with sensitivity to the cultural and social context of learners.
• Prior teaching experience in clinical psychology, supervision of internships or practicum, and engagement with professional bodies or mental health organizations will be an advantage.
