Job Description

Role & Responsibilities: Assistant Professor- Marketing

Teaching & Academic Duties

  • Deliver high-quality teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in Marketing and related management subjects like 1. Marketing Analytics 2. Advanced Digital Marketing & Agentic AI 3. Metaverse Marketing 4. Consumer Behaviour & Neuromarketing 5. Sports Marketing.
  • Prepare and update course plans, lesson plans, learning outcomes, and assessment strategies in alignment with NEP 2020, UGC/AICTE guidelines, and university policies.
  • Integrate case studies, simulations, analytics tools, industry datasets, and technology-enabled teaching methodologies to enhance student learning.
  • Conduct continuous assessment, evaluation, and timely submission of academic records, grades, and examination-related work.
  • Supervise undergraduate projects and internships.

Research & Professional Development

  • Engage in research, consultancy, and scholarly activities leading to publications in peer-reviewed journals and conferences.
  • Participate in Faculty Development Programs (FDPs), workshops, seminars, and conferences to enhance academic and professional competencies.
  • Support funded research projects, industry research, and interdisciplinary initiatives as assigned.
  • Collaborate with industry and research institutions.

Curriculum Development & Academic Support

  • Contribute to curriculum design, revision, and outcome-based education (OBE) implementation and benchmarking with industry and global academic standards.
  • Develop innovative course content, MOOCs, value-added courses, and certification programs in Marketing.
  • Participate in academic audits, accreditation, and quality assurance processes (UGC, AICTE, NAAC, NBA, etc.)
  • Develop innovative teaching methods, including use of ICT and e-learning tools.

Industry Interface & Experiential Learning

  • Facilitate industry interactions, guest lectures, live projects, internships, and case development relevant to management disciplines.
  • Guide students in internships, live projects, business analytics tools, and applied research.
  • Encourage entrepreneurial thinking, innovation, and problem-solving aligned with industry needs.

Institutional & Administrative Responsibilities

  • Participate in departmental committees, academic events, conferences, workshops, and student development activities.
  • Assist the School and University in admissions, examinations, placements, alumni engagement, and outreach initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate academic and administrative records as per university requirements.

Essential Qualifications

  • Master's degree in management marketing or a relevant discipline with minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade in a point-scale from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from accredited foreign university.

Desirable

  • Ph.D. in the relevant discipline or pursuing Ph.D.
  • Teaching or research experience in a reputed institution.
  • Industry experience relevant to the discipline will be added advantage.
  • Proficiency in modern teaching tools and technologies
  • Well versed with teaching subjects like 1. Marketing Analytics 2. Advanced Digital Marketing & Agentic AI 3. Metaverse Marketing 4. Consumer Behaviour & Neuromarketing 5. Sports Marketing.
