Job Title: Assistant Professor – AI in Media & Media Management

Job Summary:
The Assistant Professor will contribute to teaching, research, and curriculum development at the intersection of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Media & Media Management. The role focuses on equipping students with contemporary skills in AI-driven media production, analytics, content strategy, and digital transformation in the media industry.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Teaching & Academic Delivery
- Deliver undergraduate/postgraduate courses in areas such as:
- AI in Media & Journalism
- Data Analytics for Media
- Media Management & Strategy
- Digital Content Creation & Automation
- Use innovative pedagogy, including case studies, simulations, and AI tools.
2. Curriculum Development
- Design and update curriculum aligned with industry trends (AI tools, media analytics, automation platforms).
- Integrate emerging technologies like generative AI and machine learning applications in media.
3. Research & Publications
- Conduct high-quality research in AI applications in media, digital transformation, audience analytics, etc.
- Publish in reputed journals (Scopus/UGC/ABDC indexed).
- Participate in conferences, seminars, and funded research projects.
4. Industry Engagement
- Build collaborations with media houses, digital agencies, and tech companies.
- Facilitate internships, guest lectures, and live projects.
- Stay updated with tools like ChatGPT, AI editing tools, and media analytics platforms.
5. Student Mentorship & Development
- Guide student projects, dissertations, and research work.
- Mentor students for placements and career development.
6. Administrative Responsibilities
- Participate in departmental activities, accreditation processes (NAAC/NBA), and academic committees.
- Support admissions, events, and institutional initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: Master's in Media Studies / Journalism / Mass Communication / Media Management
- PhD (Completed or Pursuing) in relevant field (preferred)
- Specialization or certification in AI, Data Analytics, or Digital Media is an advantage
- Experience: 0–5 years of teaching/industry experience
- Exposure to AI tools and digital media technologies preferred
