Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Pharmacy

We are looking for a qualified Assistant Professor in the departments of Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacology, Pharmacognosy and Pharmaceutical Quality Assurance under the Faculty of Pharmacy at Vishwakarma University, Pune with a minimum experience of three years in teaching, research, industry and / or profession and who is passionate about teaching and ready to develop and deliver quality content for assigned courses. We need a person ready to take the responsibilities and challenging opportunities in order to exhaust his/her knowledge and skills to the fullest extent.

Job duties and responsibilities

Assistant Professor job profile contains the following duties and responsibilities:

• Academic teaching at Diploma, UG and PG level
• Programme and curriculum design and development,
• Academic Administration
• Supervision and Guidance for Ph.D. Scholars, if eligible,
• Examinations and evaluation,
• Carrying out high quality research
• Training, consultancy and extension activity,
• Placements and industry connect,
• Student counselling, institutional admissions and administration,
• Quality assurance and academic research,
• Any other work assigned by higher authority.

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements

A] As per the norms of UGC and PCI,

1) Bachelor's or Master's degree in Pharmacy with first class or equivalent in any one of the degrees and specialization in Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacology, Pharmacognosy and Pharmaceutical Quality Assurance

2) Minimum experience of three years in teaching in PCI approved/ recognized Pharmacy College/University or in research or in industry and / or profession

3) Registration as a Pharmacist under the Pharmacy Act, 1948, as amended from time to time, including any succeeding enactments

4) Doctorate (Ph.D.) Degree desirable,

B] Ability to write instructional material,

C] Ability of conducting interdisciplinary research,

D] Excellent fluency of English and Marathi/Hindi language,

E] Effective communication skills.
