Role Overview
We are seeking a versatile Quantum Technology Specialist to lead the development of next-generation quantum systems. You will bridge theoretical quantum physics with practical applications across computing, communication, sensing, and cryptography.
Key Responsibilities:
Quantum Computing & Physics
- Design quantum algorithms for targeted industry use cases.
- Translate quantum physics principles into scalable hardware configurations.
- Model quantum error correction protocols to improve qubit fidelity.
Quantum Communications & Cryptography
- Develop secure Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) network architectures.
- Implement post-quantum cryptographic protocols to secure legacy infrastructure.
- Design quantum repeater technologies for long-distance entanglement distribution.
Quantum Sensing
- Engineer high-precision quantum sensors for navigation and timing.
- Optimize atomic, spin-based, or photonic sensing systems.
- Analyze environmental noise factors to maximize sensor sensitivity.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Research Excellence
- Develop and maintain an internationally recognized, externally funded research program in quantum technologies.
- Publish groundbreaking research in top-tier, peer-reviewed international journals.
- Secure competitive research grants from national agencies, foundations, and private industry partners.
- Collaborate with global research networks, hardware providers, and cross-faculty teams.
Teaching & Curriculum Development
- Design, update, and deliver core undergraduate and postgraduate courses in quantum science.
- Develop specialized lab work focusing on quantum algorithms, circuits, or hardware.
- Introduce modern pedagogical tools like Python-based SDKs (e.g., Qiskit, Cirq, PennyLane).
Academic Service
- Supervise and mentor Ph.D. candidates, postdocs, and undergraduate capstone projects.
- Serve on departmental committees to shape the strategic growth of the institute.
- Actively foster an equitable, diverse, and inclusive environment for all students.
Mandatory Skills:
Quantum Mechanics, Python, Qiskit, MATLAB, Qniverse Platform etc.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Ph.D. or Masters degree in Quantum Physics, Computer Science.
- Core Knowledge: Deep understanding of entanglement, superposition, and quantum mechanics.
- Programming: Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, PennyLane, Python, or C++.
