Assistant Professor for Finance

Role Description The Assistant Professor for Finance will be responsible for delivering undergraduate and postgraduate courses in finance, including lectures, tutorials, and seminars, in an on-site setting located in Nagpur. This full-time role includes designing and updating course materials, preparing assessments, and evaluating student performance in alignment with institutional standards. The position involves guiding students through academic projects, mentoring them on career paths, and providing academic counseling as needed. The Assistant Professor will engage in research activities, contribute to publications, participate in academic committees, and collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and departmental initiatives. The role also includes staying current with developments in finance and related fields to ensure teaching content is relevant and up to date.

Qualifications

• Relevant postgraduate degree (e.g., MBA in Finance, M.Com, or PhD in Finance, Accounting,
• Strong knowledge and applied understanding of finance and corporate finance, with the ability to teach core and elective courses in these areas.
• Competence in accounting principles and practices relevant to financial analysis, reporting, and decision-making.
• Demonstrated Research skills, including the ability to design studies, analyze data, publish findings, and guide student research projects.
• Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly to diverse learners.
• Experience with modern teaching methodologies, learning management systems, and basic educational technologies.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a department, contribute to academic committees, and participate in institutional initiatives.
• Prior teaching or industry experience in finance or related domains is an advantage.
