Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for an Assistant Professor in Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) at New Horizon College of Engineering, Bengaluru. The Assistant Professor will be responsible for teaching undergraduate courses in Computer Applications, preparing and delivering lectures, guiding students in academic projects, and evaluating their performance. Additional responsibilities include curriculum development, conducting research, publishing scholarly articles, and participating in departmental and college activities. The role may also involve mentoring students and contributing to academic administrative duties as needed.

Qualifications

• A postgraduate degree (MCA, M.Tech in Computer Science, or equivalent), with a preference for candidates with a Ph.D. in a relevant field.
• Strong expertise in programming, data structures, databases, and software development methodologies.
• Effective teaching skills, curriculum planning, and knowledge of innovative teaching techniques.
• Strong research and analytical skills, including experience in publishing scholarly articles or conducting research projects.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to mentor students, manage academic responsibilities, and collaborate with colleagues and industry professionals.
• Prior teaching experience in higher education is preferred but not mandatory.
