Role Description The Assistant Production Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Shrirampur. This position supports daily production operations, including planning, scheduling, and coordinating manufacturing activities to meet quality and delivery targets. The role involves monitoring production lines, supervising shop-floor teams, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards, and troubleshooting issues that may affect output or timelines. The Assistant Production Manager collaborates with procurement, quality, and maintenance teams to ensure material availability, equipment readiness, and continuous process improvement. The role also includes maintaining production records, preparing reports, and assisting in implementing standard operating procedures and productivity initiatives.
Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of production planning, scheduling, and workflow management in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience supervising or coordinating shop-floor teams, with the ability to assign tasks, provide guidance, and support performance improvement.
  • Understanding of quality control processes, safety standards, and basic preventive maintenance practices for industrial equipment.
  • Ability to use production documentation and basic digital tools (e.g., spreadsheets, ERP or similar systems) for reporting and tracking.
  • Effective communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with a focus on collaboration across departments.
  • Relevant technical or engineering diploma/degree in mechanical, industrial, or related field; prior experience in manufacturing of tanks, fans, conveyors, or similar products is an advantage.
  • Willingness to work on-site in Shrirampur and adapt to a dynamic, fast-paced production environment.
