Roles & Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead the Indian payroll processing team, providing guidance, training, and supervision to ensure accurate and timely payroll execution.
- Oversee the entire payroll cycle, including data collection, computation, deductions, and disbursements, while adhering to statutory regulations.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable Indian labor laws, tax regulations, and statutory requirements related to payroll.
- Review and verify payroll calculations, including basic salary, allowances, deductions, overtime, bonuses, and benefits.
- Collaborate closely with clients spoc to maintain accurate employee data and seamless payroll processing.
- Keep abreast of changes in Indian payroll laws and regulations, and ensure the organization's payroll practices remain compliant.
- Prepare and file required payroll-related reports and returns with relevant government authorities within specified deadlines.
- Reconcile payroll data, resolve discrepancies, and maintain accurate records for audit purposes.
- Provide support for payroll-related audits and inspections conducted by external agencies.
- Address employee inquiries and concerns related to payroll in a professional and timely manner.
