We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, forward thinking Assistant Ophthalmology Practitioner to join the Ophthalmology Service at NHS Golden Jubilee University National Hospital.
The Eye Centre is a bespoke, purpose built center, integrating Ophthalmology Out Patient Clinics, Pre & post Op areas and Ophthalmology Theatres. The new unit aims to ensure a high level of quality and provision of elective Cataract services to meet the demands of an aging population.
We are looking for an experienced Healthcare Support Worker (HCSW) with a SVQ 3 in Healthcare Support or equivalent level SCQF 7/8 knowledge. This is a rotational post with the post holder working within the Outpatient Clinic and Ophthalmology Theatres and Pre/Post-Operative areas of the Unit. The successful candidate will be expected to complete SVQ qualification relevant to the post.

This post is offered on an initial 12 month fixed term basis but will become Permanent on successful completion of training programme.
