Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Asset Management & Inventory Control
  • Maintain and update the IT Asset Management (ITAM) system with details of all hardware, software, and licenses.
  • Track asset lifecycle from procurement to retirement (receipt, deployment, movement, maintenance, and disposal).
  • Ensure asset tagging and documentation for all IT equipment.
  • Conduct periodic physical inventory checks and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Procurement & Deployment Support
  • Coordinate with procurement and finance teams for IT asset purchasing, renewals, and vendor management.
  • Support new hire setups and hardware provisioning for employees.
  • Monitor stock levels and forecast asset needs.
  • Compliance & Reporting
  • Maintain compliance with software licensing, data security, and company asset management policies.
  • Support internal and external IT audits by providing accurate asset and license records.
  • Prepare and present reports on asset utilization, depreciation, and lifecycle costs.
  • Process Improvement & Documentation
  • Develop and update IT asset management policies, processes, and documentation.
  • Identify opportunities to automate or streamline asset tracking and reporting processes.
  • Collaborate with IT support and operations teams to improve asset-related workflows.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science or related field (preferred).

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in IT asset management, IT operations, or related field.
  • Experience with ITAM tools (E.g., ServiceNow, Zoho Manage engine) preferred and IMAC process Mandate.
  • Familiarity with hardware lifecycle management, software license tracking, and IT procurement processes.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reporting.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Google Sheets, and other asset tracking tools.
  • Good communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
  • Understanding of ITIL asset and configuration management principles (ITIL certification is a plus).

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Accuracy of IT asset records.
  • Timeliness of asset updates and reporting.
  • Reduction in untracked or missing assets.
  • Compliance with software licensing and audit requirements.

Work Environment:

  • May require handling and moving IT equipment as part of inventory management duties.
  • Typical office environment with occasional travel to other locations for asset audits or support.
