Assistant Manager- Merchandising - Cleartrip About the Role

Manage end-to-end merchandising for Cleartrip's Air category. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience in merchandising metrics, performance analysis, content optimization, and airline product understanding. This role requires working closely with airline partners, internal category teams, and marketing to improve visibility, conversions, and user experience. You are Responsible for You will:

Merchandising & Performance Management

Manage day-to-day merchandising for the Air category across Cleartrip platforms.

Monitor and optimize key merchandising metrics such as CTR, CVR, impressions, ranking, visibility, funnels, and attach rates.

Drive performance improvements through data-backed insights and A/B experiments.

Ensure accurate, updated, and high-quality airline content, offers, banners, and placements.

Data & Analytics

Track daily/weekly/monthly performance of merchandising slots and campaigns.

Analyze trends in user behavior, search patterns, and booking funnels.

Create dashboards/reports and present actionable insights to business stakeholders.

Use metrics to identify gaps, opportunities, and conversion blockers.

Coordination with Airline Partners

Work with airline partners to upload, manage, and optimize offers and promotions.

Plan visibility and merchandising interventions to improve partner performance.

Collaborate on tactical campaigns to drive revenue and engagement.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work closely with Category, Product, Design, Growth Marketing, and Tech to improve merchandising modules.

Coordinate for feature improvements, debugging issues, and new

product rollout.

Ensure high-quality execution of merchandising strategies across channels (App, Web, Email, Push).

Content & Campaign Management

Manage end-to-end content for the Air category including offer pages, banners, merchandising slots, and landing pages.

Ensure timely go-live of airline deals and promotional assets.

To succeed in this role you should have the following

24 years of experience in the Airline / OTA / GDS / Travel Industry in merchandising, air product, pricing, or category roles.

Strong understanding of merchandising metrics and performance levers.

Ability to analyze data, build insights, and drive decisions using numbers.

Experience using Excel, BI tools, or reporting dashboards.

Strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.

High ownership, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail.

Experience in airline product, fare structure, ancillaries, or revenue management.

Understanding of digital consumer journey and travel e-commerce funnels
