About the Role
We are seeking a highly driven Assistant Manager Warehousing to oversee, manage, and optimize our B2C & B2B warehousing division. This role requires strong operational leadership, deep understanding of inventory and process management, and the ability to ensure smooth end-to-end fulfillment with strict adherence to SOPs.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Management & Process Excellence
Lead and manage performance output across your assigned areas, including people management, process improvements, and operational metrics.
Oversee daily warehouse operations for multi-channel fulfillment while ensuring accurate inventory control, efficient picking/packing, and timely dispatch.
Ensure the warehouse operates at peak efficiency, maintaining excellent customer satisfaction by supervising, organizing, directing, and supporting warehouse teams.
Implement, enforce, and continuously improve SOPs, ensuring that all processes are followed without deviation.
Drive operational discipline by monitoring adherence to instructions, process guidelines, and standardized workflows.
Inventory & Fulfillment Control
Maintain strong oversight of inventory accuracy, storage management, stock variance control, replenishment discipline, and cycle count execution.
Develop and implement warehouse operation systems for product handling, storage planning, equipment utilization, gate processes, shipping, and auditing compliance.
Drive quick exception identification and resolution (inventory mismatches, process deviations, damage cases, operational blockers, etc.) to maintain seamless fulfillment.
Team Leadership & Coordination
Manage, and mentor warehouse teams to handle daily operational challenges and achieve both short- and long-term performance goals.
Act as a coordination point between internal teams (logistics, customer service, planning, procurement, tech) and external partners (3PL, transporters) to ensure smooth, uninterrupted operations.
Ensure that functional objectives, daily targets, and fulfillment goals are met consistently through proactive team guidance and follow-ups.
Track, analyze, and report operational performance while identifying improvement areas and implementing process-driven solutions.
Qualifications & Skills
34+ years of operations leadership experience in a fast-paced, process-driven warehousing environment.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or M.B.A. preferred.
Strong knowledge of FMCG distribution, multi-channel fulfillment, inventory management, and order processing.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and draw conclusions from operational data.
Proficient in Excel, Word, WMS, and other warehousing technologies.
Strong decision-making abilities, complex problem-solving skills, and high attention to detail.
Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills across levels.
Team player with the ability to drive projects to completion within deadlines.
