Assistant Manager Transport

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day employee transportation operations for multiple shifts.
• Plan and coordinate cab routes, rosters, pickup/drop schedules, and vehicle allocation.
• Manage transport operations for 24×7 BPO shifts, including night shifts.
• Coordinate with transport vendors, cab operators, drivers, and security teams.
• Monitor cab movement through GPS/tracking systems and ensure on-time pickup and drop.
• Handle employee transport complaints, delays, missed pickups, and emergency situations.
• Ensure compliance with company transport policies and employee safety requirements.
• Monitor vendor performance, SLA/KPI adherence, billing, and penalties.
• Verify transport invoices and coordinate with Finance/Procurement for payment processing.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly transport MIS reports.
• Control transportation costs through effective route planning and vehicle utilization.
• Manage transport-related incidents and escalate critical issues to senior management.
• Coordinate with HR, Workforce Management, Security, Facilities, and Operations teams.
• Maintain records related to vehicles, drivers, permits, insurance, and other compliance documents.
• Lead and mentor transport executives/coordinators and manage team performance.

Typical Requirements:

• Graduate degree
• 4–5 years of experience in employee transportation/transport operations, preferably in BPO's
• Experience handling 24×7 operations and large employee transport volumes.
• Experience with transport management systems, GPS/cab tracking, routing, and MIS.
• Strong vendor-management, problem-solving, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Comfortable working in rotational shifts and handling emergencies
