About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and technically strong Civil Engineer with experience in Prefabricated Structures, Pre-Engineered Buildings (PEB), and/or Precast construction systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing the techno-commercial proposals, analyzing project requirements, coordinating with design and procurement teams, and developing competitive cost estimates for modular and industrialized construction projects.
This role requires a solid understanding of prefab/PEB engineering concepts, structural systems, manufacturing workflows & methodologies, and project costing.
Key Responsibilities
- Study RFQs, tender documents, BOQs, drawings, specifications, and client requirements for prefab/PEB/precast projects.
- Prepare detailed techno-commercial proposals, quotations, and tender submissions within defined timelines.
- Evaluate quantity take-offs and cost estimation for structural steel, prefab panels, precast components, roofing systems, finishing materials, and associated works.
- Coordinate with design, engineering, procurement, production, and project execution teams for technical clarifications and optimized solutions.
- Evaluate engineering feasibility and identify cost optimization opportunities without compromising quality or compliance.
- Prepare tender documentation, including: Cost sheets, Technical deviations, Compliance statements, Bid summaries, Scope matrices
- Liaise with vendors and subcontractors for pricing, technical inputs, and procurement support.
- Understand and apply relevant codes, standards, and specifications related to PEB, modular, and prefab construction.
- Support contract negotiations and post-order handover to execution teams.
- Maintain a database of historical project costs and benchmark estimates.
- Participate in client discussions and internal bid review meetings.
Required Technical Knowledge
Strong understanding of:
- Pre-Engineered Building (PEB) systems
- Prefabricated and modular construction methodologies

- Structural steel systems and detailing concepts
- Sandwich panels, roofing, cladding, and insulation systems
- Industrial and institutional building workflows
Familiarity with:
- Structural drawings and BOQ interpretation
- Tendering and estimation processes
- Material procurement workflows
- Manufacturing and erection sequencing
- Project costing and budgeting principles
- Civil and structural engineering fundamentals
Knowledge of:
- IS Codes and relevant construction standards
- Quantity estimation techniques
- Vendor management and subcontracting
- Construction scheduling and execution workflows

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
- 2–6 years of experience in tendering/estimation for: Prefab structures, PEB projects, Modular construction, Precast systems, Industrial/infrastructure projects
- Experience with EPC or modular construction companies is preferred.
