Designation: Assistant Manager - Technical Process Engineer

Role Summary
We are looking for a sharp, curious Technical Process Engineer who blends strong writing fundamentals with hands-on use of Generative AI tools to produce, manage, and scale documentation across Affle's global engineering and product ecosystem. This role goes beyond traditional technical writing, you will own process documentation end-to-end, translating complex workflows, system designs, and cross-functional processes into crisp, audit-ready artefacts.

You will have a front-row seat and an active role in shaping how GenAI tools and processes are adopted across a global team.
Key Responsibilities
- Use GenAI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, etc.) to accelerate documentation creation, editing, summarisation, and structured content organisation.
- Create clear, concise documentation for system designs, workflows, state diagrams, UML, data flows, APIs, troubleshooting guides, and internal processes is an advantage.
- Translate engineering and product concepts into user-friendly documentation, process maps, and visual diagrams.
- Build and maintain internal knowledge bases, wikis, and structured documentation repositories (Confluence, Notion, etc.).
- Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Data Science, and Operations to extract domain knowledge and convert it into well-structured content.
- Standardise documentation formats, templates, style guides, and version control practices across the organisation.
- Create and maintain flowcharts, architecture diagrams, SOPs, runbooks, and operational playbooks.
- Draft and maintain multi-departmental policies (HR, Ops, Marketing, Finance, Compliance) aligned with GDPR, ISO 27001:2022, DPDP, PDPA, and relevant frameworks.
- Convert complex regulatory and technical frameworks into clear, audit-ready governance documentation.
Ideal Skills
- Proficiency with GenAI tools to automate drafting, summarisation, and document structuring workflows.
- Strong ability to quickly understand technical systems, APIs, data pipelines, microservices, and cross-team workflows.
- Experience with documentation and diagramming tools, Confluence, Markdown, Mermaid, Miro/LucidChart, draw.io, or similar.
- Excellent visual thinking and flow diagram creation capability; comfort with structured process modelling.
- Prior documentation experience in SaaS, AdTech, or a fast-paced tech product environment.
- Strong written English; ability to write for varied audiences from engineers to executives.
