Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Tax Manager to oversee and manage all aspects of tax-related functions for the organization and its expat clients. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of income tax laws, strong accounting skills, and extensive experience in tax preparation, filing, and planning. As a Tax Manager, you will ensure compliance with all tax regulations, optimize tax efficiency, and provide advisory services to internal stakeholders and clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Tax Returns Preparation and Filing: Prepare and file income tax returns for the organization and/or individual expats, ensuring accurate and timely submission. This includes gathering financial information, completing relevant forms, and maintaining proper documentation.
- TDS Preparation and Filing: Prepare and file TDS returns (Form 26Q, 27Q, etc.), ensuring compliance with TDS regulations. File applications for obtaining lower withholding certification.
- Tax Audits: Coordinate with internal or external tax auditors, provide necessary documentation for query resolution, and ensure completion of statutory and tax audits.
- Compliance Monitoring: Ensure adherence to local tax laws and regulations. Stay up to date on any changes in tax legislation and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders.
- Tax Assessment: Review financial documents, tax returns, assets, and liabilities to determine accurate income and tax obligations for individuals and businesses. Scrutinize records for accuracy and completeness.
- Tax Planning and Advisory: Provide tax planning advice to individuals and businesses, optimizing tax efficiency while ensuring compliance with tax laws. Support internal tax planning, accounting, and process improvements.
- Tax Accounting: Perform periodic books closure activities, including reconciliation, journal entries, and legal scrutiny. Prepare deferred tax working and related reports.
- Communication and Representation: Communicate effectively with taxpayers, colleagues, legal professionals, and tax authorities (e.g., Income Tax Department). Represent the organization in tax-related appeals and hearings.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate, organized records of tax filings, assessments, audits, and other tax-related activities for compliance and reporting purposes.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or CA (Inter) with a minimum of 7 years of experience in tax-related roles.
- Technical Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of income tax laws, regulations, and procedures.
- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Familiarity with tax software and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Understanding of audit procedures and practices.

- Ability to interpret complex financial data, identify discrepancies, and apply tax laws to specific situations.
